Coronation Street Catch Up: the Great Big Monster Booze Up edition

your update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...

Nice Olympic closing ceremonies, but would have been better if Rita had been there to sing "we'll meet again" with that Korean boy band.

Oh well. In keeping with the Olympic theme, the gold medal for lying goes to Eva who tells Adam that she's going to America for four months to take a beauty course. It's a scheme hatched by her and Toyah so Eva can have her baby secretly and hand the sprog over to Toyah without anyone knowing.

However, Adam surprises Eva by telling her that he's up for a trip to America and will accompany her and even take his bar exam (which bar? one wonders).

Nicola moves in with Phelan as a means to gather intel on his nefarious activities even though Gary thinks it's too dangerous.

Ty and Sean have settled into a nice domestic routine. Over at Weatherfield General, Aidan passes his kidney donor tests with flying colours and is ready to hand over his organ to Carla.

Sally decides to leave Weatherfield to be with Tim who is staying away from Weatherfield (although well within commuting distance it seems) in order to keep Faye safe from Phelan.

Billy can't stand the pain of his injuries and Adam stops delivering drugs to him, making things worse plus Summer is basically spending all her time looking after Billy.

Craig is in trouble with his mentor police officer because he insists on hanging around the lapdancing club to keep tabs on Bethany.

And now for a few lines from the week that was:

Ty to Sean:
"You're a domestic goddess"
(the perfect couple)

Adam to Eva
"I'm going to take four months off and fly out with you"
(I'm sure Rosie can handle the law practice while you're away)

Jenny to Aidan in the hospital waiting room:
"Have ever thought about doing a Gobi desert ultra marathon?"
(only if it involves manufacturing knickers)

Leanne reveals her plan for Eva's surprise birthday party:
"A great big monster booze up"
(please RSVP. Formal attire preferred)

Well, Post-Olympic punters, so ends another week. What's going on with Phelan and this new boss lady (Mona)?  And how can Gary stand working for Pat the Slaphead? I guess we'll find out. Don't forget that Corrie returns to its regular time slot starting on Monday. Check your local listings for the time in your area and have a great week. Thanks for stopping by and cheers!
