Coronation Street Catch Up: the bald-headed coot edition

your update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...

Things just keep getting worse for Rev. Billy.

First he fell off a cliff, then Todd ran off, then he got addicted to painkillers, then he got addicted to methadone. Now Summer's falling behind on her schoolwork and the teacher wants to talk to Billy and Summer's tight-assed grandma.

Not only that, but Billy is forced to seek out his no-good, drug dealing brother to obtain drugs. And, just when the bros seems to be getting close, David Platt and creepy friend Josh decide to take the law into their own hands. They kidnap Lee and rough him up (it's payback for what Lee did to Sarah).

On the Phelan front, ol' slaphead discovers that Seb is hiding out at Nicola's flat. Pat is hurt that Nicola deceived him and father and daughter are once more estranged. Meanwhile Liz and Eileen have a falling out. Seems no one really likes Pat except Eileen.

Kidney-wise, Carla and Aidan are out of the hospital and resting comfortably at Johnny's. Jenny is not amused. Gemma and Ty are getting very chummy and Ty shares his concerns with her about Ruby's aggressive behaviour. In business news, after a brief lap-se, Tassels has re-opened.

And now a few lines from the week that was:

Eileen tells Steve not to interfere:
"Button it, you bald-headed coot"
(coot, yes. bald, no)

Nicola to Eileen:
"for a smart woman, you're incredibly stupid"
(I guess love is blind)

Cathy notices Brian's quiff:
"I thought you were the Fonz"
(aaaaaayy!)

Audrey to Bethany, the perpetrator of the quiff:
"What did you do to Brian?"
(ask the Fonz)

Yasmeen blurts out the truth to Cathy:
"Rana's a lesbian"
(you make it sound like she has a membership card)

***
Well Street Savants, so ends another week. Despite the best efforts of Nicola and Gary, Phelan continues his evil ways and seems unstoppable.  Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.
Cheers!
